With Christmas around the corner, many exciting events are happening at Bright Young Things.
☃️ Christmas Card Competition
To start things off, we have a winner for our Christmas Card competition. The judges were incredibly pleased with the sheer number of entries, and the students’ artistic talents.
After careful consideration, and a couple of minor discussions, a winner was chosen: Anaya Humphrey, a Year 4 student at our High Wycombe Centre.
Keep an eye out for our Christmas card in the post to see the winner’s design - we don’t want to give any spoilers away!
☃️ Tutor Training Day
At Bright Young Things, we are always hard at work to make our tutors even better, both in our Centres and those who are with the London Agency.
Following the success of our last training session, we are delighted to announce a second Tutor Training Day on the 12th of December at our Harrow branch.
Our engaging and interactive event will focus on a variety of useful topics, designed specifically to support our tutors, and to help them improve further their teaching.
Additionally, whether you are a BYT tutor or student, the training day is a wonderful occasion to socialise with everyone and to get to know other tutors and the team.
If you haven’t already RSVP’d to the day, make sure you do - places are quickly running out! Email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your attendance.
☃️ BYT Charity
Last, but not least, Bright Young Things have joined up with Unicef to raise money to provide a school-in-a-box for children living in conflict zones. This will help at least 40 children continue their education in times of emergency and conflict.
We will have a collection box in our Centres for any donations and we ask if any pupils want to wear a Christmas jumper over the festive period, that they make a donation towards the box. Everyone in the BYT family will be working together to try and provide the school-in-a-box.
