Operations Manager

Location: Centres (Harrow, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Chesham, St Albans, Epsom, Fulham, East Sheen, Basingstoke, Acton, Milton Keynes, London Victoria, Aylesbury)

Bright Young Things centres are a growing portfolio of award winning education centres. We pride ourselves on bringing high-quality maths and English tuition to the high street. We have already helped thousands of students gain the confidence, initiative and ability to truly fulfil their academic potential, both inside and outside the classroom.

We currently have centres in 13 locations and have plans to open another 7 by the end of 2021! We are a growing company and looking to rapidly expand in the next year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to take the lead overseeing our fantastic education centres.

You should have outstanding customer service and people skills with a track record across a range of functions. You should also be an effective manager of people with excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop the staff.

You will be driving the performance of five centres and create new and innovative site based performance strategies, delivering exceptional results.

You will be responsible for the profit and loss, growing the business, both within the bounds of the existing work streams as well as identifying opportunities to develop the business to pursue new streams of work. You will report to the Operations Director and work closely with them to ensure the success of the business.

This is an incredibly creative and fast paced environment so it is essential that you have been working at a fast pace in a managerial position for at least 2 years.

Key responsibilities

  • Management and development of the centre staff
  • Management of the day to day operations of the business
  • Achieving targets for the business (set monthly by the Operations Director)
  • Complaint Management
  • Growth planning
  • Overall HR responsibility
  • Monthly Reporting


Strong operational experience across a diverse range of projects and work streams is needed.

Expected start date: 11/08/2021

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Due to the multiple locations, it will be essential that you drive.
