At Bright Young Things Summer School, your children can benefit by getting a head start for the next Academic year in maths and English. Our highly trained and experienced tutors can help them catch up on any topics they may have missed or may not have understood in the last year, as well as help them tackle topics likely to be encountered next year. This gives children added confidence and many of our tutees find themselves moved up to higher sets quite quickly the following year.
This class is for children aged 5-12. The classes include 35 minutes of Maths and 35 minutes of English. These timings can be adjusted for your child’s individual needs
For children who are looking to enter grammar or private schools in year 7, our 4-week 11+ intensive summer course is the ideal way to give them the support and practice they need. The course in maths, English and verbal reasoning(CEM type used by most schools) covers the spectrum of question types and styles they will encounter in the 11+ or entrance exams. Each week they take timed papers in each subject and these are evaluated and discussed at the end of the week looking at ways they can improve their results.
For children in years 7, 8 and 9 our Secondary Success Summer course helps them revise the topics they will have studied at school, helping them consolidate their learning as well as preparing them for the following year. Taught at a higher level, children may study new topics as well as deepen their existing knowledge. For those who have just finished year 9 it is an excellent preparation for GCSE.
Our GCSE summer course is an ideal way to ensure you are on track to meet your target levels in your GCSEs. Ideal for anyone going in to year 11 or deciding to retake, our tutor will ensure you thoroughly understand the topics as well as deepen your knowledge and build your confidence. BRAIN GYM
